Tuning
Tuning is the most common and important service your piano will need to try to maintain the pitch of your piano. There are about 230 strings in the piano, and each string needs to be tuned one by one. Recommended to have twice a year as a routine maintenance, and if you are a keen player, then it is recommended to tune more than twice a year.
When does your piano benefit from a Tuning Service?
- Around twice a year (at least once a year) as a routine maintenance
- If you feel your piano is ‘out of tune’ and doesn’t sound just right
- If you are practising piano using the online tutorials – to match the pitch of your piano to the online sessions
- If you play your piano with other instruments – to match the pitch of your piano to other instruments
