About
Hello, Welcome to Infinity Piano Services!
I am Ayaki Davies, the owner of Infinity Piano Services. I was born in Japan and now living in Worcestershire with my British husband and 2 children. Growing up in Japan, being one of the leading countries of piano manufacture, home of Yamah and Kawai, it was very normal for me to start learning piano from 3 years old. Realising piano is something I really love as a youngster, I decided to focus my studying on music as a young adult: going on to study at the Showa College of Music (degree level) in Japan. I was lucky to be able to have many experiences in perfoming piano at many concerts and competitions, notably 2nd prize in the prefecture of Hokkaido, Japan. After completing the first year of (Music Degree in Piano Performance) at the Showa College, I came to the UK to study history, exploring the historical development of Western music. After gaining a BA in History at Swansea Universtiy, an opportunity has arose to teach piano. It was a great opportunity for me, and I have taught piano to students 3 years to 70 years old, at home, and both at primary and secondary schools in the West Midlands. I have played piano accompaniment for local choirs and many other musicians and singers, both professionals and students who are taking grade/GCSE exams, which I still enjoy doing very much.
Through my experiences in playing the piano throughout my life as a performer and as a teacher, I have met both great and unfortunate pianos. I have learned the importance of a good well-maintained piano for both pianists and piano learners. There are not enough well maintained or good pianos in this society! Now I want to change this. To fulfil my dream, I trained in piano tuning, piano regulation, and other aspects which involves with piano industry at the Piano Technology School; where I met many great piano technicians to learn and be inspired from. I want to make the piano be in its best condition, and want more people to realise the full capability of their own piano, and enjoy playing it. I understand what a pianist wants from the piano, as I am a pianist. I understand what piano learners need from their piano to be able to make progress, as I was a teacher. My love and passion for the piano is my commitment to make your piano the best condition it can be, and my wish is that as many people will find the amazingness of the piano and enjoy playing this beautiful instrument.
